The B. A. Blackwell and Associates Ltd. Website has been built to accommodate website visitors with varying needs and those using assistive technologies. Our goal is to make this website as accessible as is reasonably possible. Screen Readers and this Site

This Site has been designed to accommodate visually impaired and other visitors who might be using screen readers. The following are features that have been implemented within the website:

Skip to Navigation

The main content for each page has been placed at the beginning of the page to allow for easy access with screen readers. A ‘skip to navigation’ link has been added to the top of every page to allow visitors using screen readers the option of skipping the main content and jumping directly to the main navigation links.

Meaningful Headings and Anchor text

Heading tags have been used within page content to allow visitors the option of jumping from heading to heading when using screen reader software. The text used in headings and hypertext links within the pages has been written to ensure the text clearly identifies the topic or target of the link. This is to accommodate visitors who are navigating through the content by tabbing.

Image Descriptions

‘Alt’ attributes have been added to images to clearly identify the content of the image for users who are unable to view the images.

Resizing Text and Changing Colours

CSS has been used to assign relative font sizes to all text used within this site to allow users the capability of easily resizing text to suit their preferences.
