Jeff McWilliams

Jeff McWilliams has over 13 years experience in forest management and wood processing operations, both as a consultant and in private enterprise. His main areas of expertise are in silviculture practices and operational planning audits, silviculture and stand management prescriptions and management of silviculture operations.

As an operational forester with International Forest Products Ltd., Jeff was responsible for planning and implementing all phases of a major industrial silvicultural program, including planting, silviculture surveys, slashburning, spacing, pruning, vegetation management, and silviculture prescriptions. Working for a large coastal sawmill, he acquired experience in log purchasing, byproducts sales and the supervision of all phases of a sawmill and planer operation.

As a consultant Jeff McWilliams has specialized in silviculture planning and practices under the Forest Practices Code. He was a lead member of a team that prepared and tested silviculture audit protocols for the Forest Practices Board and has completed several audit and practice review projects. Jeff has extensive experience developing silviculture and stand management prescriptions and has prepared an SP workshop for a coastal client. He also has completed soil disturbance and access occupancy surveys and has delivered soil conservation workshops to operational forestry staff.
