Ben Andrew has worked in the field of forestry for over ten years and has worked for B.A. Blackwell and Associates since the fall of 2000. His forestry experience ranges from GIS mapping and analysis to terrestrial ecosystem classification. He has experience conducting field research projects including fire history studies, a hemlock looper study and fertilization trials. Ben is a registered arborist and certified danger tree assessor. His mapping capabilities include MicroStation and ArcView GIS 8.2.

Aaron Bigsby has eight years experience in forestry related work. Prior to joining B.A. Blackwell & Associates in 2002, he had extensive experience supervising planting and thinning crews and carrying out mountain pine beetle probing. Since 2002 he has worked on a wide range of projects including field research trials, silviculture planning, and engineering and layout work. Aaron has been responsible for carrying out mountain pine beetle assessments in the Whistler to Pemberton corridor and proposing beetle management strategies. In the fall of 2003 he was responsible for the layout and supervision of a falling and burning project in the same area. He is a certified arborist and RPF.

Kyle Broome joined B.A. Blackwell & Associates in 2005. Since then, he has worked on projects relating to forest opeartions, fuel management, silviculture and forest health. Projects in these areas have involved GIS, data processing and management, and field work. He is a certified Arborist and Danger Tree Assessor.

Aaron Byng-Hall joined B.A. Blackwell & Associates in 2006 and has over ten years experience in the forest resource industry including silviculture contracting, timber cruising, and forest engineering. During his time at B.A. Blackwell & Associates he has been involved forest operations, research, forest health and GIS mapping.

Andrew Hooper has over six years experience in forest fire suppression, fuel management, wildlife/danger tree assessment, danger tree falling and forest operations. Since joining B.A. Blackwell & Associates in 2006 he has been involved in developing management prescriptions and GIS maps, danger tree assessments, forest operations and research. He is a certified Arborist in Training and Danger Tree Assessor.

Colin Mahony has ten years of experience in the forest industry in resource analysis, forest operations, research and mapping and is knowledgeable in British Columbian forest policy, management and ecology. Since joining B.A. Blackwell & Associates in 2006, he has been involved in timber supply analysis and landscape-level biodiversity planning.

Amelia Needoba has worked for B.A. Blackwell & Associates over the last six years. She has contributed to projects relating to fire ecology, environmental impact assessments, fire policy analysis, fire modelling, fuel management, forest health and silviculture in a capacity that has involved GIS, data processing and management, and research. In 2006 she was responsible for the supervision and planning of fuel mitigation work within BCTC right-of-ways.

Elizabeth Panozzo joined B.A. Blackwell & Associates in 2006. She has over ten years of experience in the forest industry in forest operations, research and education. Since 2006, she has contributed to various projects in forest health, forest restoration, fuel prescriptions, and research and analysis.

Avram Sandor has nine years of experience in GIS analysis, planning and management including production of maps and strategic wildland/urban interface plans. During his time at B.A. Blackwell & Associates, he has gathered, managed and presented spatial data, conducted spatial analysis and prepared maps for numerous projects.
