Prior to joining B.A. Blackwell & Associates Ltd. in 2006, Elizabeth gained work experience in both the private and public sectors in the fields of operational silviculture, silviculture research (forest nutrition, fertilization and site preparation), forest inventory, growth and yield, and most recently, environmental education.
Since joining Blackwell, Elizabeth has provided research, technical, writing, and project management support for a range of projects. This includes project work in urban forestry, wildfire management, forest health, environmental impact assessment, ecosystem restoration, and silviculture, as well as fertilization and fuel loading research trials. Elizabeth supports contract administration and quality assurance and quality control processes, including safety processes, for a range of projects. She specializes in providing quality and peer review of a range of reporting. Elizabeth also manages and administers our comprehensive Corporate Health and Safety Program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices and to maintain our firm’s ongoing SAFE certification with the BC Forest Safety Council.
