Jessica Walker

Jessica joined the B.A. Blackwell & Associates team in February 2021 after receiving an Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry with a specialization in Forest Health and Protection from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Jessica has prior experience working with the Government of Ontario's Forest Health Monitoring Program in the Boreal, Great Lakes-St. Lawrence, and Carolinian forest regions. She has also gained experience working in the nurseries and orchards of major forest product companies in BC. Jessica currently works with Blackwell’s Urban Department and assists with fieldwork, data compilation, mapping, and report writing for wildfire hazard, arborist, wind-firmness, and tree risk assessment projects. She is also in pursuit of becoming a FIT with the ABCFP as well as an ISA Certified Arborist.
