Rodrigo is a graduate from University of British Columbia’s Forest Resources Management program, where he was awarded a Faculty of Forestry International Student Scholarship for strong academic achievement. Prior to joining BA Blackwell in May of 2017, Rodrigo gained experience in various aspects of forest development planning, silviculture surveys using drone technology, and research of historical forest fire regimes. He also worked a season in the silviculture (reforestation) industry. Since joining BA Blackwell, Rodrigo’s work focuses on all phases of forest development planning and layout, forest health (aerial overview surveys and ground checks), silviculture (including forest fertilization), and fire suppression rehabilitation. Rodrigo is a Forester in Training with the ABCFP and is working towards his RPF status.
