Monica Nederend joined B.A. Blackwell in May 2019 after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in forest resource management, specializing in community and Aboriginal forestry. In her role as a forest technician, she has focused primarily on silviculture and fire management including fuels management prescription work. Prior to joining B.A. Blackwell, Monica helped conduct research projects evaluating FireSmart strategies and the effects of prescribed burning in northern Alberta.
